To add fun to an occasion in your beloveds' life, you are
ready to do some experiments right? Then, you can try for a colorful and
attractive candy bouquet this time. It is not very expensive, and you can make
it with less effort with few candy boxes though, you don't know how to make an
attractive one. Making a Lollipop Bouquet, as a present will bring out your
creative ideas in a better way.
1. Select the Container
You should apply your creative mind to choose the
container according to the person you are gifting to. A coffee cup or parfait
cup is good for friends and coworkers, a sand pail for children, a plastic
flower pot or clay pot for the gardener, popcorn cover for a movie buff, etc.
2. Get a Good Collection of Candies
Choose the candies that the giftee love along with
visually appealing wrappers. Always choose variety wrapped candies with a mix
of small candy bars, bubble gum, toffees, etc. There are candy boxes with
different colored wraps available in the market for making the bouquet, and you
can use few. The colors of the wraps also should be representing the receiver,
and bright colors could be the best option for children, gold or silver for
anniversaries, white and red for Valentine's Day, green and red for Christmas,
etc.
3. Fix Styrofoam at the Bottom of the Container
Fill the bottom of the container with a chunk of properly
cut Styrofoam and fix it with a glue gun. Wait for some time to get it
completely cemented unless you are planning to fix it on the sides of the
container.
4. Fix a Wooden Skewer at the Center of Styrofoam
Use a wooden skewer or a thick popsicle stick in this
step and wrap it with a green floral tape. Insert the skewer into the center of
the Styrofoam and fix it with a dab of glue. Apply some glue at the other end
of the skewer as well to fix a Styrofoam ball in it. The Styrofoam ball should
be almost in the size of the container; generally, ball in the size of a tennis
ball would work in most cases. To add more effect, use a green Styrofoam ball
or use a green wrap to a different colored ball.
5. Attach the Candies to the Styrofoam ball
Use floral pins to fix it over the Styrofoam ball. You
can either fix both the ends of candies and one end alone. Pinning candies
should be continued until the entire ball area is covered by the candies. After
completing the fixing, once again fix the skewer at the bottom of the
container.
6. Make it more Colorful Using Bows and Loops
Using colored ¼-inch ribbons, make loops and small bows
and fix it along with the candies around Styrofoam ball. You can also think
creatively and add whichever you find useful to the Bouquet that makes it more
attractive and festive.
7. Fill the Container with Dried Sphagnum Moss or
Shredded Paper
Filling the container with colorful shredded paper or
dried sphagnum moss would add more appeal to the Bouquet. It will also hide the
Styrofoam fixed at the bottom of the container. You would also find setting
candy canes into the bottom of the container making it more colorful. At last,
you can tie a bright color bow around the container of the Candy Bouquet.
